THE INTAKE PROCESS
Once you reach out, I'll follow up, and we'll schedule a 15 minute consult. During the consult, we'll talk about services, answer questions and determine therapeutic fit. If we decide to move forward, we'll set up our initial intake session and you'll be asked to complete new client documentation. During our first session, we'll cover your history and explore current challenges/concerns. We'll identify therapeutic goals and discuss therapeutic modalities and techniques to determine how to best move forward.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Prior to setting up our initial intake session we will connect during a brief phone consultation. During this time, I will answer questions and talk about your therapeutic options. From there, we can schedule our first session, or I can connect you with additional resources.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
In response to the pandemic, I have shifted my practice to telehealth only. During this time and for the foreseeable future, I will continue to offer remote services. If and when I return to the office, I will communicate this to you.
What will the first session look like?
Our first session will look slightly different than sessions moving forward. Our initial time together will consist of an intake session which is an opportunity for me to better understand your needs and preferences to ensure this is a good therapeutic fit. I will ask questions about your history, areas of concern, and identify therapeutic goals. If we both feel comfortable and determine therapeutic fit, we can schedule additional sessions.
What populations do you serve?
I work with adolescents (13+), college aged students, and adults.
What if I live outside of Arizona or Colorado, can we still set up counseling sessions?
Due to state regulations and licensure rules, I am only able to conduct counseling sessions with individuals who are physically in Arizona or Colorado. If you live outside of those states, we would not be able to set up counseling sessions.
